Yahoo Boys, Sextortion and Your Kids

The Yahoo Boys are a Nigerian scam artist gang that target our youth and the elderly.

With the world connected by 5G, it ensures global interactions as well as most apps now having digital currency and/or money transfer options, and GEO location technology. Anyone can connect with us including cartels, gangs and groups like the Yahoo Boys who can easily prey on our kids. Sextortion is one example. Often that young girl our boys think they have met on the Internet is really a criminal organization on the other side of the world looking to extort for money. If they can get an explicit photo from the boy, they can blackmail him with often overwhelming threats.

Watch this Insider Alert to see what you can do to help protect your children. What steps can you take to prevent them from being exploited and what steps you can take if it has already happened. Most importantly it is important for our children to know that it is okay to ask for help.
