This is a recent study released by the Thorn Organization. Thorn is one of the world's leaders in combating child sex crimes and the cofounders are Ashton Kushner and Demi Moore. Million Kids salutes this organization and Mr. Kushner, who is often the spokesperson, because of their support of a mountain of advanced research on these critical subjects. It allows organizations like Million Kids to stay informed on the latest trends and methodologies used by predators.
This research is a must read. One of the important findings is that 40% of teens agreed that it's normal for people of that age (teens) to share nudes with each other. And 1 in 3 teens say they have seen non-consensually shared nudes. There is a great deal of difference in how the teen experiences victimization when a teen shares a photo with someone they see themselves in relationship and when they are being sextorted by an unknown predator.
