Riverside County Anti Human Trafficking Task Force (RCAHT) received a lead from the Hemet Police Dept regarding the possible sex trafficking of a minor.
The alleged suspect is Steven Rawley a 35 year old from Corona, California. During the course of the investigation, investigators found the minor was being sexually exploited for money via social media/internet. A video was discovered on YouTube that had been made by a private undercover investigation agency, Arizona Predator Prevention. APP had conducted undercover stings where Steven Rawley had attempted to meet with a (fake) 15 year old female for sex.
RCAHT officers secured a search warrant for Mr Rawley's apartment and vehicle and seized numerous electronic devices. He is currently being charged with three felonies including contact with a minor with the intent to commit kidnapping or sex offenses. The victim was offered support services. The case is pending.
